Panama City Beach (PCB) is currently known as the Home of the World’s Most Beautiful Beaches. Just a 20-minute ride to the east, along US Route 98, is the older Panama City. Here we’ll have a look at some of the best places to lodge during your stay on either of the two cities. We’ll also give you some tips to make your stay more memorable.

Lets start with some of the hotels, inns, and condominiums where you can get value for your money. The best deals in Panama City can be found in Days Inn Bayside, Valu-Lodge, Super 8, Howard Johnson, and Econo Lodge. On the other hand, PCB has Holiday Lodge Motel, Sunset Inn, Days Inn Central, Grand Cayman, and The Summit Condominiums.

If money is not a problem, these are the places where you can find the most luxurious accommodations: Marriott’s Legends Edge at Bay Point, Orange Lake, Hilton Garden Inn, Comfort Inn & Conference Center, and Sleep Inn & Suites in Panama City; and Grand Residences by Marriott-Bay Point, Emerald Beach Resort, Emerald Isle, Ocean Villa Condominiums, and Majestic Beach Towers in PCB.

Generally speaking, you’ll find more expensive hotels in PCB than in Panama City. That’s because the latter’s more inland and hence guests don’t enjoy as much of a magnificent view of the Gulf of Mexico there. Apparently, guests are willing to pay more for a better access to the wider ocean. As such, more businessmen have chosen to invest on Panama City Beach lodging.

Although many Panama City and Panama City Beach lodging establishments have their own on-site restaurants, it is highly recommended that you find time to explore other restaurants nearby. These two cities are known for their seafoods, steaks, and BBQ grills. Among the most popular are Hunt’s Oyster, Saltwater Grill, Boars Head Restaurant & Tavern, Firefly, and Bonefish Grill.

When scouting for either PCB or Panama City lodging, you might want to seriously consider spending a few more bucks just to stay in a place that’s right in front of the gulf. Nothing beats a Florida vacation experience of walking outside and finding the beach right in front of you.
